Cyprus -followed by Germany, The Netherlands and Russia – is the biggest investor in the Ukrainian economy, according to data for the first half of 2010.
Investment influx has been increasing and during the same period investments from Cyprus increased to 486 million dollars whereas investments from Russia rose to 200 million. According to the Ukrainian statistics, during the first half of 2010 Cyprus investments in the Ukraine amounted to 9,79 billion dollars, which translates into 22.5% of the total investments in the country, whereas on January 1st 2010 investments amounted to 8,593 billion.
Germany holds 16.4% of the total investments in the Ukraine (6.618 billion), whereas The Netherlands hold 9.7% (3.929 billion) and Russia comes last with 7.1% (2.674 billion).
The total investments in Ukrainian economy during the first half of 2010 amounted to 40.402 billion.
